There has been a flurry of discussion around platform offerings aimed at creative professionals with little or no technical expertise. Since the start of the COVID-19 crisis, no-code and low-code tools have become the technology of choice for many companies. According to recent research by Gartner70% of new applications developed are expected to leverage low-code or no-code technologies by 2025, up from less than 25% in 2020.

It’s against this backdrop and costs a $120m Series C and $4bn Accel-backed valuation. Web feeds is fast becoming one of the fastest growing all-in-one no-code and low-code website builders on the market. Currently serving 3.5 million users and attracting more than 10 billion visitors per month, the company says its goal is to enable businesses to run faster and more efficiently.

“We started in 2013 with an idea that was simple in application: anyone who didn’t know how to write a single line of code could create a professional, high-performance website using a drag-and-drop interface,” said Bryant. Chou, co-founder and CTO of Webflow.

Bridging the gap between design and development

The design and development gap refers to the missing element of communication between designers and developers when creating a product.

This is an age-old problem in the web application and design process. Fortunately, the proliferation of low-code and no-code tools has created a shared language between design and development and brought their visions to life.

Over the years, Webflow has evolved from a single-page website builder to a dynamic, in-browser design tool with CMS and e-commerce capabilities, which Chou says has helped bridge the gap. which always exists between the two.

Where Webflow fits into a company’s data infrastructure

By removing the technical complexity behind web development, Chou says business users can focus on design workflows, while engineers can concentrate on higher-level tasks such as building their core product and differentiating it on the market.

The company says it integrates seamlessly with an organization’s existing technology stack, allowing users to consolidate their key business data in one place.

Shaping the future of app and software development

Based on data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, by 2030, the demand for software developers is expected to increase by 22%. While there may be a shortage of professionals to fill relevant roles and meet modern business needs, staying ahead will mean making processes and products more agile.

This is where the advantages of no-code and low-code development will come into play.
