Vodafone Idea (Vi), India’s third-largest telecom operator, is currently seeking a candidate to fill the position of ‘VP & Head — Digital Product Owner’ within the company. This comes after the recent release of Reema Jain, former Chief Digital Officer, Vi. In an internal email, Vi said it would realign the digital organization across three verticals, including consumer digital marketing, consumer digital products and partnerships, and digital delivery. The purpose of this Vodafone Idea work is to build a strategy to deliver an end-to-end experience to consumers and meet the telecom operator’s aspiration of digital monthly active users. The ultimate goal of the person applying for this role will be to obtain requirements from multiple business functions and develop a journey building plan to deliver a seamless consumer experience.
The Digital Product Owner or Digital PO is an end-to-end delivery owner for the Vi digital platforms. Vi PO will need to be flexible and work with multiple functional leads such as consumer marketing – prepaid, postpaid, business and care teams.
PO is the bridge between different business functions and digital delivery. Vi said anyone applying for this role should have at least 10 years of experience, while an MBA candidate should also have at least seven to eight years of relevant experience in an online or digital organization.
There are more requirements from the person such as good communication skills, MS-Excel skills, deep expertise in agile tools, etc. The pay scale for the job is not given but the telecom operator is looking for someone in Mumbai or Bangalore area.
