UX Engineer/Designer
Location: Sandton
Salary R60,000CTC
- A UX engineer is typically a front-end engineer who works in a design team, facilitating collaboration between engineering and design. UX engineers combine technical know-how with design aesthetics.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Overall responsibility to understand a client’s file and convert it into attractive and highly usable interfaces. – Collaborates with business development team and/or client early on to seek deeper appreciation of client business issues/goals. – Develops end-users’ understanding of the website/app through secondary and primary research (user interviews, traffic data). – Able to generate personas and user scenarios. – Prepares low-fidelity prototypes of sites/features (ranging from paper-and-pencil concepts to wireframes or interactive prototypes) for internal review and brainstorming. – Able to gauge the technical feasibility of the prototype. – Presents high fidelity designs/mockups to client for review/iteration/approval. – Able to work directly with customers in an iterative/agile manner to dramatically improve prototypes in a short time – Able to explain design philosophy verbally and in writing
Minimum requirements:
Certification in Essential Computer Design
Java Programming Certification Advantage

- Skills or knowledge
- Strong wireframing skills – Excellent visual design skills and abilities – Knowledge of new industry tools and trends – Strong analytical skills – UX research and design focused on user experience and flow – not graphic design – Solid understanding of process flows, menu structures, usability, smooth workflows, CI maintenance and buy-in. – Ergonomics, accessibility, customer journey, prototypes.- UI Skills
