LUCKNOW: It was a proud moment for Sachin Agarwal, Chairman of Lucknow-based PTC Industries, which deals in metal smelting, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and other dignitaries approached his stand and appreciated his work.

Agarwal said the 60-second interaction and Prime Minister’s appreciation was nothing short of a “booster shot” for him.

“We will continue to work in the same spirit and continue to serve the country with all our capabilities,” said Agarwal, whose company manufactures components used in aerospace and aircraft engines, space and strategic systems, howitzer guns at Long range.

Agarwal said they recently launched a subsidiary named Aerolloy Technologies, which manufactures critical castings of aerospace and defense components. “So far we have supplied components to ISRO, HAL, DRDO and even Howitzer gun makers,” Agarwal said.

“Another milestone for our company was the launch of a manufacturing unit for super alloys based on titanium and nickel, which is in great demand in the defense sector. Titanium parts are much lighter than iron or any other metal. Thus, the weight of the final product can be greatly reduced. An example of this is submarines in which titanium is used,” he added.

“In India, no one is making this product at the moment,” he claimed and added that they were here to show their talent and contribute to the Make in India process.
