Technical project manager, Canopy software, remotely; Must live in the Eastern or Central US time zones

As part of the Engineering team, the Technical Project Manager will lead multiple agile software development teams to deliver high quality solutions and products.

Canopy is looking for a skilled Technical Project Manager to join our growing engineering team. We are looking for someone with a proven track record of leading agile, high-performing software development teams that reliably deliver software solutions with a focus on quality.

What you will do:

  • Lead multiple agile development teams responsible for delivering cutting-edge software products.
  • Facilitate and conduct agile ceremonies, including sprint planning sessions, daily stand-ups, demos and flawless retrospectives.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to improve development, deployment and operations.
  • Foster a continuous learning environment by ensuring the team becomes more effective through continuous improvement of processes, procedures and approaches.
  • Develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans and progress reports.
  • Prepare and present briefings to senior level management personnel providing status of ongoing activities.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and review project deliverables.

Your qualifications include:

  • Located in the Eastern or Central US time zones.
  • Experience building, delivering, and supporting data-intensive software solutions focused on engineering, execution, and operational excellence.
  • Experience of working effectively with teams in remote and geographically dispersed locations and understanding of the implications and challenges inherent in working within a global team.
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to explain complex technical structures in an understandable and user-friendly format.
  • Very organized, thorough and efficient.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment, “roll up your sleeves”.
  • Team player with a customer-focused mentality and strong interpersonal, communication (oral and written) and presentation skills.
  • Strong knowledge of web development technologies.
  • Experience with the Atlassian suite (JIRA, Confluence).
  • Fast and independent learner with innate creativity.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
