Jett Projects is currently seeking a Senior Project Manager with 5-7 years of experience in interior design and interior architectural renovations, to work on new and existing projects and to help strengthen our team. . Founded in 2020 and already covered in publications such as Architectural Digest and New York Magazine, Jett Projects is small but growing rapidly with a large number of new projects inside and outside of New York City. This is a great opportunity for someone who is self-sufficient and looking to gain confidence and experience in a young design studio by helping to build a team and develop their own role within the studio.
The Project Manager / Senior Designer will handle at least two large-scale interior renovations in New York City and a number of smaller furniture-focused projects, workflow permitting. This is excellent for someone with a proven track record of building interiors, architectural designs and finishes, and high-end furniture, including vintage, new, and custom manufacturing for large and small residential projects. ladder. This Senior Project Manager / Designer position includes the following responsibilities:
– Conceive the ideation and design directly with the Creative Director, and translate this into reality with the junior designers and team members.
-Create design presentations for meetings with clients.
-Measurements of existing conditions, and translate into sets of drawings for pricing and construction
-Creation and management of sets of drawings and specifications. Draw and supervise all plans, elevations, details, etc.
-Construction administration – communicate with and manage all contractors, carpenters, salespeople and tradespeople on site
-Furniture administration – communicate with and manage all aspects of custom furniture, upholstery, etc.
-Sourcing of all architectural and interior decoration materials (stones, wood, fabrics, lighting and accessories)
-Ensure FF&E supply from initial selection and approval, through purchase to delivery and installation
-Design various elements of interior spaces through 3D modeling / rendering. Candidates with Rhino / 3d rendering experience are required.
– Maintain the project schedule and budget. Update if necessary.
-Weekly trips to construction sites. Monthly trips to projects located out of state if necessary.
SKILLS:
⢠Must have an understanding of AutoCAD.
⢠Must know 3D computer rendering software. Rhino / VRAY is required.
⢠Intermediate understanding of Excel, InDesign and Photoshop.
⢠Experience with custom furniture design and documentation of various details.
⢠Experience in providing information to contractors and manufacturers
⢠Has a driven and go-getter personality with excellent time management skills and an ability to deliver under tight deadlines.
⢠Has excellent written and verbal communication skills.
⢠Has a keen interest in other creative outlets such as art, fashion, film, nightlife, etc. Has a general knowledge of what is going on in the creative world of New York around them outside of interior design.
