POSITION TITLE: Project Manager

TEAM: Technology + Operations

REPORTING TO: Senior Manager, Project Management

The Project Manager is responsible for how the work is done. This role will identify, plan and manage ongoing and upcoming projects alongside the Design Director, ensuring they are completed, within the approved scope, schedule and budget. This involves monitoring project schedules, billing projections, resource allocation, budgets, expenses, consultant coordination, and contract scope and fees.

Success in this role is measured by meeting project goals for schedule, budget and profitability.


1. Operational responsibility

  • Contains, organizes and updates all project information seamlessly in ClickUp, to inform strategy and decision-making
  • Assess the pipeline of upcoming projects, working with the Design Director and Business Development team to review contract scope and terms, identify risks, and develop project schedules and work plans.
  • Works alongside Project Managers and Design Director to proactively manage schedules, allocate resources, prioritize and deliver work
  • Tracks and manages the financial performance of projects, in collaboration with the Director of Design and Finance (e.g. forecasting, negotiation, work plan, fee schedule, ASA, billing projections and invoicing)
  • Confirms, drafts and publishes ASAs, identifying opportunities for ASAs in partnership with Project Managers and Design Directors.
  • Provides weekly project updates and raises project blockers, challenges or roadblocks for escalated resolution

2. Technical direction

  • Participates in early design phases to advise on budget and constructability considerations
  • Performs review of drawings (after review by others) for compliance with standards and reports any constructability or other concerns
  • Train and coach team members on documentation and constructability, share lessons learned from actual on-site experience

3. Administration of the work

  • Plays an active role in managing clients and coordinating consultants from the design documentation phase through project completion
  • Prepare budgets for FFE at MUR and 100% DD
  • Performs mockup reviews and site visits
  • Coordinates with client and designers, driving value engineering efforts to deliver projects within budget while maintaining design integrity
  • Review shop drawings and samples, respond to inquiries
  • Facilitate business relationships to promote preferred YP vendors in projects

4. Management of the company

  • Contributes to defining corporate strategy, defining objectives, establishing policy and driving process improvement
  • Communicates and implements company strategy, goals, policy and process improvement within own team
  • Expresses concerns, makes suggestions, and takes initiative to create a strong, well-run business that we all want to work in


  • Enthusiasm for international travel, valid passport and ability to obtain various visas
  • Demonstrated experience in managing the financial success of projects, providing reports, projections and analysis.
  • Experience negotiating and reviewing scope, fees and schedule of contracts with multiple parties and often conflicting priorities.
  • Ability to manage multiple internal and external partners to varying degrees, including vendors, contractors and consultants.
  • Basic knowledge of building codes, design constructability and building systems.
  • Experience with project management tools, software and industry standards.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, agile environment with changing demands.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • 5-10 years of experience managing multiple projects of varying size, complexity and scope from concept to post-occupancy.
  • Bachelor’s degree in project management, design, construction, engineering, business or related field
