The Project Manager, Neglected Tropical Diseases will support the development of integration plans, engagement and mobilization of other sectors to accelerate progress towards the control of trachoma, schistosomiasis (SCH) and helminths transmitted by soil (STH) under the law to end NTDs | East program. The law to end NTDs | The East Program is a five-year activity led by RTI International in partnership with Ministries of Health of participating countries, and supports endemic countries to plan, implement and fund solutions to address NTDs using health interventions. proven and cost-effective public health. SC is a member of the law to end NTDs and focuses on providing technical support for cross-sectoral coordination.

Key areas of responsibility include:

To be successful in this role, you will bring/possess the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in public health, nursing, nutrition, environmental/community health or related fields. A master’s degree would be an added advantage.

  • A minimum of three years of experience.

  • A good understanding of local government systems, previous work experience in Karamoja would be an added advantage.

  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills, including direct and indirect dealings with government officials and other partners/stakeholders at different levels.

  • Demonstrated ability to work productively in a fast-paced, fast-paced environment, and to work under pressure to tight deadlines.

  • Fluency in written and spoken English is a requirement.

  • Willingness to commit to the goals, values ​​and principles of Save the Children
