Project Manager (Call Center) at Datafin Recruitment

ENVIRONMENT:

A dynamic financial services group is seeking a solution-focused Project Manager (Call Center) whose primary role will be to lead the delivery of projects within its operations program. A key area will be robotic process automation (RPA). You will be expected to be successful in introducing changes to the business from project initiation to project closure. The ideal candidate should possess an appropriate bachelor’s degree or above with certification in project management, have 8-10 years of experience in a similar role with a proven track record of delivering multiple complex projects simultaneously, understand ICT functional areas, broad knowledge of commercial and financial products and a working understanding of systems development and product life cycle, database and systems design.

FUNCTIONS:

  • Coordinate the project to achieve project objectives ensuring delivery is on time, within budget, in accordance with the requirements and expectations of the project sponsor and business owner.
  • Facilitate project delivery by following the project office methodology through the following phases –
    • Preliminary – Support the Sponsor and the Business Owner in the validation of the Business Case and the key success criteria.
    • Preparation – Define the project and complete the project definition document, complete the necessary governance, stakeholder analysis and risk assessment and prepare the project launch.
    • Elaboration – Launch the project, facilitate the design and validation of the solution, build a detailed project plan, a resource plan, a budget (as well as a financial validation) and set up the project structure.
    • Construction – Coordinate business and technical workflows to meet project requirements based on scope, time, cost and quality objectives.
    • Transition – Execute a detailed transition and implementation plan, including post-implementation testing and validation.
  • Support business transition management by ensuring that business changes resulting from the affected project(s) are managed in a manner that minimizes business disruption.

TERMS:

Skills –

  • Relevant and applicable bachelor’s degree or higher with certification in project management.

Experience/Skills –

  • 8 to 10 years of experience as a project manager with a proven track record of delivering multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in financial services and/or retail.
  • In-depth knowledge of commercial and financial products.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of best practices in project management methodologies.
  • A working understanding of the system development lifecycle and product, database, and system design lifecycle.
  • Understanding of ICT functional areas such as development, infrastructure and service management.
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills with the ability to drive decision making.

Advantageous –

  • Experience implementing projects in a call center environment or using RPA.
  • Business analysis degree or exposure.
  • Experience in an Agile environment.
