Amanda Martocchio Architecture (AMA) is currently seeking a full-time Project Architect to join our team. We are an award-winning architecture and design studio in New Canaan, CT specializing in innovative and artfully detailed residential and small commercial projects. We believe that the environments we design can and should enhance life and care for our environment.

Our studio requires the participation of all design staff, hand drawing tools and software for 3D representation and problem solving, technical knowledge in producing drawings and construction details, as well than an appreciation and understanding of building science.   • Minimum 7 years of professional experience
  • Professional degree in architecture (B. Arch and/or M. Arch from accredited program)
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with clients and project team members both verbally and in writing
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Sketch-Up, Rhino, Adobe CS, MS Word and Excel, as well as hand drawing
  • Independently research and specify new and project-specific building materials and components
  • Complete and coordinate a set of detailed and thorough construction documents
  • Administer construction, including attending site meetings, coordinating the work of consultants
  • Work independently, while accommodating both interaction with principal and collaboration with staff
  • Legal work status in the United States
  • Use of an automobile. New Canaan, CT is adjacent to Norwalk and Stamford, one hour from New York by train/car and 45 minutes from New Haven by car.
