The description

The Senior Project Architect is an Associate level position for a Chartered Professional and is responsible for directing the technical aspects of projects including design development, drawing production and construction administration for large and small projects and sometimes several projects of various scales.

Lead the development of working drawings and specification sets through all phases of the design and oversee the work of the project team using Revit and/or AutoCAD

Review construction scope and details including development of documents in conjunction with consultants and estimator to meet client budget targets

Represent the company with or without principals in meetings with clients, consultants and construction

Review contracts for required project and project team deliverables

Be responsible for recognizing and limiting risk exposure to the business through assessment of project contract, site conditions and parameters

Qualifications

Professional bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture

US Licensed Architect

15 or more years of professional experience in architecture and design

Strong management and problem solving skills

Demonstrated ability to lead team and consultants to successful results and instill client confidence

Demonstrate high levels of responsibility and organizational competence

Excellent knowledge of construction, details, graphic, written and verbal communication skills

Good knowledge of Revit and/or AutoCAD software

Experience with “grassroots” high-rise and medium-sized urban projects is preferred.
