The primary objective of the Product Owner – Order to Cash is to be the guardian of all sales system processes in the ERP landscape of the Africa zone.
The Product Owner will work closely with the Zone
Sales function to align OTC and system processes in the relevant ERP system per market in the Africa zone.
The Product Owner is responsible for maintaining the integrity and stability of current OTC ERP solutions in Africa, as well as directing the OTC flow as part of the planned implementation of a new ERP system (SAP S4 HANA) in the Africa zone in 2022 and 2023. .
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Own the end-to-end system process in the African ERP landscape – including existing and new ERPs;
Define and deliver business and process requirements in collaboration with the business function and the ERP program delivery team:
Ensure the successful implementation of end-to-end processes taking into account business needs in line with the success factors of the steering committee;
Prioritizes tasks, mitigates risks in liaison with project management, area sales management and global sales management;
Has signing authority for project delivery in the process area for the Africa zone;
Is the change leader for the process area and identifies and coordinates business resources in the Africa zone;
Owns the product backlog for the process area – owns and prioritizes user stories and is the first contact for clarifications/escalations;
Is responsible for providing content for the development of global training materials;
Monitors completeness and accuracy of progress information, in accordance with requirements and acceptance criteria;
Responsible for training needs and other preparedness activities;
Is responsible for controlling the operation of the system and the results obtained (outputs) in terms of compliance with expected needs and quality standards.
The Product Owner will ensure that all governance, processes and controls are considered and integrated into each product backlog, while continuing to ensure MICS/SOX compliance.
Requirements and skills
Bachelor’s degree, diploma or technology-related qualification
Leadership and technical skills – including logistics experience

Deep understanding of Agile, DevOps and Lean process tools and techniques (certified scrum master and/or product owner preferred)
