Responsible for executing strategy for allocated products, planning and coordinating resources to enable timely development and implementation of quality solutions and products.
Lead the scope of product development and optimization, including breaking down this scope into specifications, features and user stories in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders and act as product ambassador and primary contact for related queries.
Support the creation of machine learning algorithms by applying standard statistical analysis or data preparation methods
Support data-driven analysis to identify product/service improvement opportunities
Serve as an advocate for data-driven product design, evangelize ideas about what works and what doesn’t to help drive incremental pipeline and revenue gains
Collect and analyze data and information to assist in ideation, design and continuous improvement of product specifications, features and roadmap developed by engineering teams
Identify product training needs and develop product training courses to fill gaps in existing programs, methods or tools and execute training programs for specific areas using prepared content
Serve as the first point of contact, to resolve internal or external customer or vendor queries by providing information on complex processes and related policies, referring to others as necessary for policy interpretation
Provide advanced product/service information and answer complex customer questions about the product/service
Support the formulation of annual planning based on roadmaps and the development of business cases in support of the governance process
Lead, plan and reschedule product releases as they are produced to ensure timely updates and deliver intended benefits as early as possible in the product lifecycle
Identify, understand and share customer needs during Scrum meetings to translate them into measurable product features; map the customer journey to get an idea of their motivations, future needs and pain points in order to improve the customer experience and deliver business value
Communicate product strategy and features on Interswitch, review product documentation and warranties
Help manage the product throughout its lifecycle, while verifying business relevance, adoption and continuous improvement
Identify gaps in existing processes, systems and procedures and use established change management programs to address them
Drive the continuous upgrading and improvement of the product and operating environment to stay current with technological advancements, industry trends, competitive intelligence, economic changes, and all business needs company
Develop internal communications and work collaboratively with colleagues to build strong relationships with external clients and meet client needs
Manage and maintain an efficient flow of just-in-time story building (refining user stories) activities throughout the team’s runtime, typically maintaining valued iterations (sprints) user stories available and ready in the team backlog
Coordinate the piloting of new products or features with customers, escalating reviews, issues and defects to the project team for resolution to ensure deployment of a fully functional and reliable product.
First university degree in computer science, statistics, business or finance-related field
At least 6 years of experience in Product Owner/Management roles, ideally within reputable financial institutions or the payments industry
