Network and Security Architect at Omnia Holdings – Gauteng Bryanston

Reporting to the IT Infrastructure Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for designing, planning, executing, implementing, installing and maintaining network solutions to ensure the stability and integrity of our corporate network. Including maintaining computer networks, hardware, software and other related systems, performing disaster recovery operations, protecting data, software and hardware from attack, and replacing hardware components faulty network if necessary.
Qualifications and experience required:

  • Degree/Diploma in Computer Science or Information Technology
  • Experience of at least 4 years

(In addition to the formal education requirements above, ideally have the following)

  • Graduate degree in computer science or information technology
  • Certification in relevant applications i.e. CISSP; ITIL, Cisco, Fortinet, Firewall

Main areas of responsibility

  • Manage and ensure network stability
  • Plan and ensure sufficient bandwidth throughout the organization
  • Provision of quality of service and network access management
  • Provides network availability reports
  • Communicate with end users and third-party partners
  • Provide project support upon project delivery
  • Lead the technical design of the solution
