With the assistance of the Head of Label and A&R, develop and complete marketing strategies for assigned projects. Participate in the research, planning and execution of all marketing efforts, overseeing assigned projects from start to finish.

What you will do:
  • Oversee all aspects of the overall marketing plan (publicity, radio, sales, streaming, new media, publicity, etc.) to ensure project visibility is maximized and the marketing plan is fully executed.
  • Manage multiple budgets for each project to ensure the project remains financially feasible.
  • Act as the primary communication agent between the artist/manager and label staff for each project.
Overview of specific functions:

Coordinate all aspects of the overall marketing plan for each project:

  • Help build and execute an overall marketing plan;
  • Facilitate communication between all departments (Advertising, Radio, Sales, Streaming, New Media, Advertising);
  • Manage the overall execution of the project schedule by setting and meeting project deadlines.

Serve as the main liaison with the artists/managers:

  • Communicate the initial plan and update the team of artists as the project progresses;
  • Provide the artist/manager and the internal team with the necessary marketing tools;
  • Coordinate salable product setups and AtVenu reports as required;
  • Arrange tour ticket requests for artist performances with management and venues;
  • Provide on-site tagging support at shows and events as needed

Manage/monitor several budgets (Marketing, New Media, Advertising, etc.) for each project:

  • Process all invoices related to the project;
  • Track short-term expenses and forecast long-term expenses to ensure project operations stay within approved budgets.

Coordinate timeline/schedule with all parties involved:

  • Provide advice on timelines and schedule targets;
  • Communicate timeline information, including promotion/press opportunities, tour dates, and content launches.

Oversee the creation of marketing tools and the timely delivery of tools:

  • Direct design and delivery of posters, postcards, online media kits, digital content and more. ;
  • Work with artist/direction and video team to source or create video content;
  • Circulate marketing tools within the timeline set by the project schedule.

Assist the production department to ensure that project deadlines are met:

  • Proof illustration, sticker and technical copy;
  • Streamline communication between artists/managers, production/art department, label heads/A&R.

Describe the progress and objectives of the project:

  • Solicit and interpret comments from each department;
  • Provide the team with overall project progress reports as needed and through weekly departmental meetings;
  • Provide weekly sales/updates for artists/managers.
Conditions:
  • Qualified candidates for this position should have 3-5 years of experience in the music industry
  • College degree preferred
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with many different departments/personalities
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Ability to work well under pressure and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Good knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Access)
  • Technophile; sense of urgency and commitment to meeting deadlines.
