Clinical Research Project Manager job at UNIVERSITY COLLEGE DUBLIN (UCD)

Applications are invited for a temporary position as a Clinical Research Project Leader within the UCD School of Medicine

UCD CRC was established in 2006 to provide high quality, world-class, patient-centred research. Together with our hospital partners and the UCD School of Medicine, we have built a skilled and committed research team that helps researchers design and conduct clinical trials to the highest standards.

To date, we have obtained funding, published numerous articles and joined prestigious research networks. Our research has been incorporated into national and international clinical guidelines and has been translated into clinical practice to improve outcomes. As part of our plans for continued growth, we are expanding our program so that more patients have the opportunity to participate in high-quality clinical trials.

Our objectives are:

1. Increase patient and clinician access to trials by doubling the number of trials by 2025.

2. Expand the UCD research network by including new hospitals and general practice sites.

3. Set up early phase clinical trials

4. Improve the design and execution of clinical trials.

5. Further integrate clinical trials into our hospitals.

6. Continue to develop our education programs to train future researchers and clinicians.

7. Share knowledge so health professionals can use research findings in their clinical practice.

8. Ensure the voice of patients is central to the design and delivery of clinical trials.

These objectives will be achieved through a significant expansion of our activities and our team. To enable this growth, we are now looking for a Clinical Research Project Manager. Based at UCD Conway Institute, the appointee will work with leading researchers at our Belfield campus to develop clinical partnerships and enable the translation of research findings into clinical investigations.

The incumbent will have a passion for translational research, excellent time management and organizational skills, tact and discretion in handling sensitive information, and the ability to work in a collegial manner.
